Welcome at the scale model railroad blog of Rosenbahn, a H0 scale (1:87) Marklin scale model railroad track of a fictional area around the borders of Germany and Switzerland in the time period II – IV.

The scenery is based on the years around 1925 until the end of the 1980s. The old track is disconnected completely and started to rebuild as a module based track. This is more easy to carry and transport to exhibitions or something else. The build of the first module is going well and a big part of the scenery is already completed. Under the module there is an enormous lot of work in progress. Many cables and connectors are installed. This first module is the central one which means that all electrical connections starts from this one. The progress of the build will be described here just as many other subjects regarding scale model building in text and pictures. Goal of the Modellbahn Rosenbahn website is to offer an informative website to make more people enthousiast for this relaxing hobby. We also try to help everyone on their way with extensive building descriptions. Have fun visiting the pages of this website and if you have any questions you could leave a respons at the page. If you like to have the latest news then follow the Modellbahn Rosenbahn Facebook or/and Twitter page.

Diorama complete Scratch Build

As a second project the start is made with a diorama build as a module with a industrial rail simple rail track with a single line and one switch where the rail split to a factory. The focus is in this project on Scratch Build and there will be build many constructions. Weathering is an important thing on this, because all buildings must look like they are there already for a long time and are effected by the weather as rain, snow, wind, dust and sun. This entire project will show that scale model building doesn’t have to cost a fortune. During the build some structures will probably be placed on another place on the diorama or be replaced, this makes the build to have fun. I hope it inspire a lot of the viewers to start with scratch building.

Industrial structure a factory for producing matches.

Scale Rail Road Model Club Bergen op Zoom

Rosenbahn is also member of Model Spoor Club Bergen op Zoom which is a young club started with a group of friends with the same hobby and the same interest in scale model trains. Our goal is to build a scale model track of around 16 meter length and 1,2 meter width of the train station area of Bergen op Zoom around the late 1950 and begin 1960 years. The club is lucky that the may use a shop building in the old city center of Bergen op Zoom (Fortuinstraat 12). Every Tuesday and Thursday evening the group is building and many people passing by are visiting us to discover what we are making. They are very surprised to see the rebuild in 1:87 the complete history of that city. At this moment the club is closed due to the COVID-19 restrictions. As long is there are restrictions visitors are unfortunately also not allowed. Club members are continue the build now at home and do you like to stay informed about this club please follow us on Facebook.
