Scratch build viaduct
Modellbahn Rosenbahn Viaduct Scratch Building in H0
At the left opening in the wall of the Module 1 a viaduct is been build. The goal for that viaduct is to create a pass trough to the next module that looks better than only a square hole in the wall. This viaduct is completely constructed by using cardboard. All parts are first measured and a drawing in the right scale 1:87 is made on the cardboard sheet and cut out. The different parts are glued together using wood glue (diluted with some water 1:1). When finished the first layer of paint is applied. This is normal acrylic paint in the color concrete grey which can be found a small samples at every hardware store. This paint is normal wall paint. When dry several accents are made with Vallejo Model Color Paint and Vallejo Wash. With this different colors the outcome is be as realistic as possible. Further weathering takes place by using Vallejo Pigment Weathering Powders.
