Building dioramas is a great hobby. The benefit is that it doesn’t have to cost a lot of space. Anyone can make this on the table at home, so you don’t need to have a special room for it, like with a model railway.

You can make what you want it doesn’t have to be a scale model railway. Of course you can build a diorama with a piece of railway, but that is certainly not necessary. Many dioramas are also build like a piece of landscape or a war scenery. Airplanes, cars and ships, buildings or just a piece of facade, are also processed in a diorama.

For example, look up some videos on YouTube under the search word “diorama” and you will find the most beautiful examples. But before you notice you will be sucked into the hobby step by step. Note it is addictive when you have started and you automatically will improve your skills in this hobby.

Good luck and a lot of fun with this amazingly small hobby.
